For those not going, let me make a suggestion for bringing smiles on the playa even though you can't make it. Get the playa address and the camp name of a couple friends that are going. Then around august 20th, mail a box of goodies (liquor, toys, stamps, envelops, etc.) to that person on the playa. Yes the playa has a post office. What you do is have a box for each person with their stuff in it along with the name (nickname) the name of the camp and playa address on the outside (don't forget to decorate). Then put those boxes in one box that is addressed to the following:

c/o BRCPO
Burning Man
Black Rock City, NV 89412

At the black rock post office they will open the box and take out the smaller boxes and deliver them. Be sure to include a nice note inside the big box thanking the BRC postal workers and a gift such as liquor or other item for the post workers is suggested after all they are traipsing accross the playa to deliver your mail.

I've done this the past two years that I have missed going and the recipients of my packages have been overwhelmed each time. So this year I will definitely be volunteering at the post office.
