So... where are we all now?
I'm in the process of moving to the bay area from Los Angeles. For me, this is going back to where I lived in the 90's, but what I'm also looking forward to is cutting my drive time to the playa in half! eheh. I love that part.
My plans for the playa this year are going to be entirely different from '05. I'm going to be building a similar sized camp, but I'll likely have a more dedicated public area this time, as opposed to just my sleep and recover space that was shared with a friend. I don't know exactly where I'm camping yet, but I imagine it will be with a crossover group of people from RWB, Arizona and Nuc Fam.
What are you all up too? Where is everyone at?

My business is going well and our 4 children - Beast, Del, Romo and Missy are wonderful and I love it here in the PNW.
We will be doing The Pink Flamingo Lounge again this year but it will be a happy hour dance and drink lovefest!!!

Sun, May 14, 2006 - 9:47 PMAm now based in Colorado after finally moving here (from LA) in Feb. All I have to say is that this tribe was pretty instrumental in bringing some pretty amazing people into my life. One of which is now my partner in crime and love my life, Papa Bear. We are expecting our first baby burner in late September this year - 3wks after BM. As some of you know, I am up for most things on the playa, but giving birth at BRC is not one of them! :) Therefore we are going to miss you guys this year and are planning on catching up with you all next year and hopefully camping with Kidsville.

i'll be with putting for pabst again - look for our new and improved putt putt course as well as a kick ass bike jump (that's right, you heard me). we are a non-registered theme camp but you can find us in the playa info computer and we will most likely be by the deep end.

Fri, August 4, 2006 - 12:04 AMmoving to SF to go to SF State, for some reason they don't think Burning Man is a state holliday so i only get to go for 4 days :( Still camping with Thunderdome and having a blast.
Just got home from 3 months in Europe and 1 month in China. not quite used to being in the states yet.
having lots of fun with my last weeks of summer.

I plan on camping near The Lost Penguins at 4;30 and esplanade with my friend Gargoyle (also formerly of the lsot penguins)

Fri, April 27, 2007 - 7:25 PMJust thought I would update this post and let you know that Papa Bear and I welcomed our little baby bear on the 26th of Sept last year. We named him Tadhg Harper Rees McDermid (Tadhg is gaelic and pronounced "Tiger" without the "er"). He turned 7mths old yesterday and a lot of fun to be around! We are still deciding whether we will make it out to the playa this year. We won't know until around August as to whether we will be out there or not this year.
I hope 2007 is treating you all well and we will hopefully see you out there this year, if not, next year.

Sun, April 29, 2007 - 6:37 AMIt's 2007 baby!! Where are you going to be?? I'm playa bound for the first time since 2004 with an art car as well. Myself and another 20 others have been building a huge freaking piano bar art car. baby grand piano with electronic keyboard, stripper pole, big lounge booths with red velvet coverings, dance floor (the piano top) and bar. The car is 20' x 12' (yep that big) Probably camping with the "damn fucking texans" camp (look for big ass Texas flag).
We will also be leading the Houston art car parade with "George Clinton" in our car in two weeks! I'm soooo freaking hyped.
Later daze and I can't wait to meet up with everyone again.

Sun, May 20, 2007 - 1:49 PMI spend most of my time now crisscrossing the country (mostly CT and CA) inspecting explosives that go on rockets! Too much fun, and too much travel, which is part of the reason why I haven't been to the burn since '05, and can't fit it in this year either. (Well, to be honest, the rafting trip through the Grand Canyon is going to be the trip that BURNS my vacation this year.) I've even had to miss most of the regional BM events here in Arizona, but I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things next weekend for our 100 Daze event. The rest of you, keep the home fires burning (and the kettle almost boiling) on the playa this year for me.
